Event Terms

By registering for and attending the Tech Users Summit 2025, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

Acceptance and Compliance

By accepting these terms, you also agree to:

  • Comply with our Code of Conduct at all times during the event
  • Follow all event policies, procedures, and instructions from organisers
  • Respect fellow attendees, speakers, staff, and volunteers
  • Adhere to the venue rules and regulations

Event Participation

  • Attendance is subject to event capacity and registration confirmation
  • Event schedules and content may change without notice
  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove attendees who violate these terms
  • No refunds will be provided for voluntary non-attendance or removal due to policy violations

Liability and Disclaimers

  • Attendance is at your own risk. DHA and TUANZ are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage
  • You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times
  • Event content is for informational purposes and does not constitute professional advice

Privacy Statement

The Digital Health Association (DHA) and the Technology Users Association of New Zealand (TUANZ), along with their related entities, business partners, and other external agencies ("we", "our", or "us") are co-hosting the Tech Users Summit 2025.

Your personal information is being collected so that we can register your interest and participation in the event, and for the other purposes set out in the registration form.

Personal information is defined in the Privacy Act 2020 ("Privacy Act") as "information about an identifiable individual".

In agreeing to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Statement and submitting your registration to us, you authorise the release of, and use of, your personal information to and by our staff for all the purposes set out in this registration form.

Use of Information

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

  • To identify you as an attendee of Tech Users Summit 2025
  • To communicate with you regarding event details, updates, and related opportunities
  • To provide you with a personalised experience during the event
  • To ensure event safety and security requirements are met
  • To contact you about future Tech Users Summit events and related opportunities from both DHA and TUANZ

Communication Methods and Consent

By registering for the Tech Users Summit 2025 and providing your contact information, you consent to DHA and TUANZ contacting you through various communication channels, including but not limited to:

  • Email correspondence and electronic newsletters
  • SMS text messages and mobile alerts
  • Voice calls (including automated calls where permitted by law)
  • Push notifications through mobile applications
  • Direct messages through social media platforms
  • Other modern digital communication methods as they become available

All communications will be conducted within the scope and respect of this agreement and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We will only contact you for legitimate event-related purposes, including but not limited to event updates, safety notifications, schedule changes, and future event invitations.

SMS and Mobile Communications

Opt-Out Rights: You may opt out of SMS alerts at any time by replying "Stop" or "Opt Out" to any text message, or by contacting us directly. Standard message and data rates may apply to your mobile communications, however all costs associated with our SMS communications to you are covered by DHA and TUANZ.

Frequency: Message frequency varies based on event activity and your participation. We will not send excessive or unnecessary communications.

General Opt-Out: You maintain the right to opt out of any or all communication methods by contacting our privacy officers directly (contact details provided below) or by using the unsubscribe mechanisms provided in our communications.

Information Sharing Between Co-Hosts

As this event is co-hosted by DHA and TUANZ, your registration information will be shared between both organisations as necessary for:

  • Event planning and management
  • Safety and security purposes
  • Attendee communications and coordination
  • Future event planning and invitations

Third Party Information Sharing

We may share your name, job title, and organisation name only with sponsors of the event, but we will not share personally identifiable information such as your email or phone number without your explicit consent.

Use of Photographs and Videos

Photographs and videos taken during the event may be used for the following purposes:

  • Promotional materials, both digital and print, related to the event
  • Social media posts and updates by both DHA and TUANZ
  • Event recap communications and future event marketing
  • Annual reports and stakeholder communications

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: To request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: To request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: To request deletion of your personal information.
  • Objection: To object to the processing of your personal information for certain purposes.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is safeguarded against loss, unauthorised access/disclosure or modification, and misuse in accordance with the Privacy Act.
